What it is, and how it works

What is Pray Production Studio?

Pray Production Studio is a web app from Pray.com that turns a written script into a finished video. It parses the script into scenes and shots, casts consistent characters, generates images and video for every shot, adds narration and music, and assembles an editable timeline you can export.

How do I make an AI video?

Paste your script into Pray Production Studio. It breaks the script into scenes and shots, then helps you cast each character and generate your locations as images and video. You can then add narration and music, and download all your footage to assemble your finished video.

The MAN'S FALL case study walks through the path from script to a finished 8-minute film.

How long does it take to make an AI video?

A two to three minute video can take as little as a few hours. Most of that time is generation running in the background while you review takes and pick the ones you want. A full multi-minute episode is a working session or two, not a multi-week production.

MAN'S FALL is 8 minutes 1 second, 16 shots, directed by one person in one day.

Do I need AI prompting or video editing experience?

No prompting experience needed. Pray Production Studio fills out the prompt for every shot and the level of detail is up to you, so you can edit any prompt before you generate. For the final cut, export your generations and finish in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or the editor of your choice.

Can churches and ministries use this for sermons and kids content?

Yes. Churches use Pray Production Studio for sermon films, kids episodes, testimonies, and social clips. Biblical Mode is optional: turn it on for historically grounded Bible stories, or leave it off for modern ministry content in the same studio, from one account.

Pastor Adam Mesa turned a sermon into a movie start to finish in the studio, then published it.

What it costs

Plans, credits, and what a generation actually spends.

How much does Pray Production Studio cost?

Plans start at $19 a month for Lite and run to $4,995 a month for Enterprise, each including a monthly credit allowance for generation. Annual billing saves up to 17 percent. New subscriptions also pay a one-time $9 studio setup fee. Every generation button shows its credit cost before you run it.

What are credits, and how many does one video use?

Credits are the studio’s unit for generation, and every button shows its cost before you press it. A Nano Banana 2 image is 11 credits. Video costs more and varies by model, length and resolution, so the estimate is always on screen. Full plan allowances are at prayproductionstudio.com/tiers.

How much does a finished video actually cost to generate?

There is no flat per-video price. Cost is credits spent on the images and clips you keep, and every generate button shows that number first. A short reel can stay small; a multi-minute film spends more because you iterate. Plan allowances reset each month.

Finished films land roughly between $63 and $189 per minute. The full breakdown of modes and credits is on the cost guide.

Is there a free trial, and can I cancel anytime?

There is no free trial. Plans are month to month and you can switch tier or cancel yourself from Settings inside your account, with no contract and no retention call. Annual plans bill once and save up to 17 percent against paying monthly.

Consistency and control

Keeping a cast, a look, and your own footage together across a whole film.

How do characters stay consistent between shots?

You cast each character once as an Actor with locked reference images, and the studio reuses that identity on every image and video generation in the project. Locations and costumes lock the same way. Our Creating Consistent Characters tutorial walks through the full workflow.

Daniel in the Lion's Den keeps the same animated kids in every shot by locking each Actor once.

Can I create my own characters, or only use yours?

You create your own. Generate an Actor from a written description, or upload your own reference photos and build the character from those. There is no fixed avatar library you have to choose from, and every character you cast stays in your organization’s library for reuse across projects.

Can I bring in my own images and video clips?

Yes. Upload a still and animate it into a clip in Image Studio, or attach an existing video file to any shot as an external clip. You can also pull clips from the stock library or from another project in your organization. Attaching a clip you already own costs no credits.

Can I turn a still image into a video?

Yes. Animate in Image Studio turns any still, generated or uploaded, into a video clip using a camera-move preset and a motion prompt, and the finished clip can be added to a project as a shot. This is the image-to-video path, separate from generating a shot out of a script.

What visual styles can I make?

Five styles ship in the studio: Cinematic Live Action, 3D Animation, 2D Animation, Claymation, and Anime. You choose the style when you create the project, and every character and shot is generated in that style, so the whole film keeps one consistent look from the first frame to the last.

What is Director Mode?

Director Mode (Beta) is a chat-driven way to direct a film shot by shot: describe the shot you want, review the takes that come back, then roll again with notes until it is right. Christ the Crusader was directed that way, from a one-line premise to a finished short film.

Voices and output

Narration, aspect ratios, and getting your footage into a real edit.

Can I use my own voice for the narration?

Three ways: record narration in the browser, upload a file you recorded elsewhere, or pick one of the studio’s premium voices. Recorded and uploaded audio can also run through the voice changer. Narration locks to the timeline, so the visuals cut to your delivery rather than the reverse.

What aspect ratios and formats does it export?

A project is 16:9, 9:16, or 21:9 cinemascope, chosen when you create it. Not every video model supports 21:9, so a cinemascope project narrows which generators you can use. You can export an MP4, a timecoded Premiere Pro XML that also opens in Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve, individual clips, or push everything to Google Drive.

Rights and publishing

Who owns the film, and what happens when you put it on a platform.

Do I own the videos I make?

Yes. Your script and your finished renders are yours. Pray Production Studio is a production tool: it does not claim ownership of the films you make in it, and nothing you create is published anywhere without you choosing to publish it. The full terms are in our Terms of Service.

Can I monetize AI videos on YouTube?

Yes, with conditions. YouTube allows monetized AI-assisted content, but its inauthentic content policy demotes mass-produced or templated uploads, and realistic synthetic footage has to be disclosed in YouTube Studio. Videos with original scripts and real creative direction are what stay monetizable. Check YouTube’s current policy before you publish.

Can I make videos that are not Bible stories?

Yes. Turn Biblical Mode on when you create a project and the studio builds a historically grounded biblical world, with period wardrobe and locations. Leave it off and you can make any kind of video: sermons, personal testimonies, kids episodes, modern-day stories, or something entirely your own.
