Choose a workflow
Storyboard Mode, Director Mode, Editor Mode, and Aura Reels each suit a different kind of project. Here is how to pick.

When you start a New Project, the studio asks How do you want to create? Each option is a different way of working. All of them end on the same Post-Production timeline and export.
| Workflow | Best for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Storyboard Mode | Scripted films where every shot matters | Make a still image for each shot first, then animate it into video. |
| Director Mode | Directing a scene by conversation | Describe the shot you want in chat, review the takes, and roll again with notes. No image step. |
| Editor Mode | Working one shot at a time | Generate and refine images shot by shot with a live preview. |
| Aura Reels | Short, captioned reels from a sermon | Upload a sermon, pick a moment, and the studio builds an edited reel with the speaker's own audio. |
Storyboard Mode
Storyboard Mode is the image-first workflow. Because each clip starts from a still you approved, you get the most control over composition and continuity. It is the right choice for longer, scripted films. Storyboard Mode used to be called Director Mode, so older tutorials may use that name for it.
Director Mode
Director Mode goes straight to camera. You write what should happen in the shot, and the studio sends that prompt to the video model and brings back takes for you to compare. It is fast and conversational, which makes it a favorite for cinematic short films.
Editor Mode
Editor Mode is a focused shot-by-shot view for generating images one at a time, useful when you are building a sequence carefully or fixing individual shots.
Aura Reels
Aura Reels (beta) is built for sermon clips. Upload a recording, pick the moment you want, and the studio produces a captioned, edited reel that keeps the pastor's real voice.
Why don't I see every option?
Storyboard Mode, Director Mode and Editor Mode are open to every workspace. Aura Reels is a limited beta on the Starter plan and above, so on Lite or Creator the picker leaves it out. See Plans and pricing to compare plans.
