Generate images for your shots

Make the still for each shot on the Images tab, then refine it with Freestyle Mode, edits, and upscaling.

In Storyboard Mode every video clip starts from a still image, so the Images tab is where you lock the look of each shot. A good still makes a good clip.

Generate a still

Each shot on the Images tab shows its prompt and the actors and location cast in it. Press the shot's generate button to make an image. The button shows the credit cost first, and the price changes if you pick a different image model.

Not happy with it? Generate again for a new take, or change the prompt first. Your previous takes stay with the shot, so you can always go back to one.

Freestyle Mode

Open Freestyle Mode on a shot's image when you want full control. It opens a dedicated editor where you can:

  • Rewrite the prompt freely.
  • Choose which references to include or leave out (actors, location, mood board).
  • Upload your own reference images.
  • Pick the image model and its settings.

Freestyle settings are saved with the shot, marked Freestyle Mode (saved), so you can come back and generate again with the same setup.

Edit and upscale

  • Edit an image to change one detail, like an expression, a prop, or the lighting, without starting over.
  • Upscale Image to get a sharper, higher-resolution version before you animate it or use it as a poster.

Tips for better stills

  • Cast actors and locations before you generate, so every image uses their references.
  • Describe the framing ("wide shot", "close-up on her hands") and the light ("golden hour", "lit by a single lamp").
  • Keep each shot to one clear moment. A still can only show one instant, and the video starts from it.
