Image Studio and animating a still
Make one-off images outside a project, and turn any still, generated or uploaded, into a video clip.

On this page
Image Studio (in the sidebar) is for images that do not belong to a scripted shot: a thumbnail, a poster, a concept, or a photo you want to bring to life.
Animate a still into video
Animate in Image Studio turns any still into a short video clip. It works on images you generated and on photos you upload.
- Open the image in Image Studio and choose Animate.
- Pick a camera move preset, such as a slow push-in or an orbit.
- Add a motion prompt describing what should move ("wind moves through the wheat, clouds drift").
- Check the credit cost on the button, then generate.
The finished clip can be added to a project as a shot, so footage made here can still end up in your film.
Bring your own footage into a project
You do not have to generate everything. In a project you can attach a video file you already own to a shot as an external clip, or pull clips from the Stock Footage library or another project in your workspace. Attaching a clip you already own costs no credits.
Which plans include Image Studio
Image Studio is included in every workspace, on every plan.
